Christina, who joined Power Tots in December 2017, was born and raised in Northern Virginia where she trained as a gymnast for 8+ years before also finding her love for dance and color guard. She continues to pursue her passion for the performing arts as she studies Early Childhood Education and Dance at George Mason University. She also holds her children’s yoga teaching certification through Kidding Around Yoga. Christina continually pursues performance opportunities and has performed with some of the top color guards on the east coast, Stonewall Independent Winter Guard, GMU Winter Guard, and Étude Winter Guard. During the Summer, she has also toured across the country performing with the world renowned Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps, traveling state to state, rehearsing 12+ hours per day, and producing shows nearly every night. Additionally, she directs, instructs, and choreographs local high school color guards in both their Fall and Winter seasons. Christina takes pride in being a positive role model for everyone that she teaches. Her hobbies include dancing, fitness training, writing, and going to the dog park with her furry best friend. Christina continually strives to inspire and encourage our youth as they overcome new challenges and develop into the best people that they can be.
“I love working with Power Tots! My favorite thing is when children come out of their shell to try something new. They realize that challenges really are possible to accomplish and that they can do it. A beam of confidence lights up their face and it’s positively infectious! I can’t help but to smile with them! To know that I played a part in making this confidence happen for them makes me beyond happy.”
